The patch notes state there’s a chance to receive items of “masterwork or better” rarity from trading blade shards for gear boxes, but after handing in stacks upon stacks of blade shards, I could only see masterwork items coming from these boxes.

And then there’s of course that new chaos back item recipe. Considering that throusands of people all did the same content over and over again all evening, and no one has yet reported anything on receiving it, I’m figuring there’s something wrong. See also this thread.

I have purchased 100 boxes and all of them had master items. So yes, I think it’s bugged and I would not have purchased that many had I opened the first 25 before buying the next 75.
