I mentioned this briefly at the end of one of my posts in the sylvari forum, but after looking at it in game again, thought it’s very strange and might be a bug.

i bought sylvari t1 heavy armour and noticed the in game armour doesn’t have the iridescence of the preview/hero panel.

this lead me to notice that setting shader quality to medium displays a much higher quality to the material than high does.

the first screenshot is high quality, 2nd is medium. you can see quite clearly that the medium has a much higher shine and better ‘depth’ to the material, also as she sways, the light moves across the armour and reveals the texture of the material. in high settings there is none of that.

i know high causes more light to fall on the character, but it shouldn’t take away the texture of a material like that
