So this is new .. there’s this new spam botter in sea of sorrows server that cannot be blocked. it keeps spamming his nasty web allover divinity’s reach. can you guys do something ? or it’s also impossible to manage a small matter like this?

It would be nice if Arena.Net starts blocking certain words starting with “www.” and “cheap gold”

Unless of course Arena.Net is active in supporting these morons like majority of MMO companies been doing since it generates tons of easy cash for them..

Gold sellers buy hundreds of copies at a time, log in and do their stuff and players report them and then get banned and same gold sellers does a repeat and does the whole thing over again…

If Arena.Net is one of those minority folks who are against easy money should do like Turbine has done and request help from Federal Law Enforcement.

Anet is against it and has blogged about it.

I’m experiencing this issue too where /block is no longer working to keep these lurkers out of my chat window.

Hopefully something is bugged with /block. We’ll have to wait and see.

You need to right click on his name in chat windows and block him from there.

Block function and Contact List do not recognize players by Display Names but instead look up by character names.

Is your block list full? Make sure he’s actually been added to the list.

Yes it does, blocking a characters blocks the account, blocking the display name blocks the characters, it shows all details.

I just added you using only Liliana Moore.4237 and got your character name, Display name, location and achievement points.

Not really. I have exact the same name for my main character as my Display Name.
But try with some other names of random people around. You will see what I mean
