the ranger downed system
I dont know why you complain. This is pretty much game mechanics of rangers. Ppl can save stomp. In Addition your Pet heals only when in range and alive. When ppl start flaming its because they dont know what to do. ATM most glasscannons complain over it hrhr.

While I feel the pet res is functioning as intended on land…. under water is another story.
There is no finisher, and therefore there is no way to stop the enemy ranger from reviving other than brute force…. which can make it a challenge for not one but 3 or 4 players to finish a downed ranger under water.
yeah, good damage underwater doesn’t stop us to get rezz.
The only way I see for my opponent is to shutdown my pet.

I think the bug is to switch pet before activate downed#3.
Pet wont be in fight and can rezz much faster.

Warriors have a 2nd chance
Mesmers have that annoying port to another location
Thieves have stealth/ annoying port to another location
Eles have that mist to go else where
If Rangers downed skill gets removed then the following has to happen:
-All teleportation skills removed when downed
-Warriors have their 2nd chance skill removed
For underwater combat, the ranger underwater is a mesmer of the land or thief of the land. If you are going to delete the only thing that give the class any merit for oceanic combat you really need to consider trashing Mesmer and thief on land.

I dont think you can compare underwater Ranger with Mesmer/Thief/Warrior on land.
We have some need skills but no other class has clones/minions/slaves that can rezz at command without having teamspeak.
