Guild Wars 2

So something weird happened today. I was doing dailies and came back to DR to sell off my loot. However when I right clicked>sell at tp, I got an “Account Verification” window. It had suggestions to what I could do to verify my account. One was upgrade to HoT and the other was something else I forgot. They both had a big green checkmark and said my account was satisfied or something. There was only an Okay button. I clicked it. Everything on my sell list was greyed and had a lock icon. I got the same result from opening the TP from an npc, hotkey, and icon. I could buy things from the TP but I couldn’t sell anything. Someone asked if I was a ftp player, but I was using map chat when it happened, which means that my account wasn’t entirely restricted.

Funny thing though. I have HoT and have been playing the game for four years. I was starting to freak out because I thought my account got flagged for something I didn’t do.

I decided to restart the game to see if the issue would go away. It did. My TP was perfectly normal and I can sell/buy things like I should be able to. Since the problem fixed itself and I couldn’t make it happen again, I didn’t report a bug/submit a ticket. I just thought it was odd (and slightly concerning) that my game would bug out like that. I just hope the bug doesn’t happen again and permanently, and I will have to put in a ticket.

Has anyone else had this bug happen to them? Was it one time, or did it get stuck and you had to get tech support to fix it?

Sounds as if your computer couldn’t connect with the authentication server. That happens on rare occasions. Restarting the game always resolves the issue.
