Guild Wars 2

This started this morning (may 28th), and I thought it’s worth reporting..
sadly I don’t have any details to give, I don’t know what causes it, but I’ve seen it several times this morning.

As you can see there’s a charr, and another player in the back who have these weird texture boxes. Also when I was logging wood in Orr some people had this as well

EDIT: Kept my eye open.
Everyone with the graphical bug had a piece of legendary armor
I haven’t seen anyone with a piece of legendary armor that didn’t also have the bug.
Gonna try equiping a piece myself > bug does not reproduce on own player model
EDIT2: I think now it’s because of infusions, I see it on the blue fumes and snowing-shoulders

Have you tried a -repair of the client? Updating, re-installing your graphics drivers?

I just did a windows 10 update, with an nvidia update, and reinstalled GW2, that was like.. 2-3 days ago

Not sure if Windows updates your GPU driver properly. Always best to do that manually by downloading the proper driver for your model from the nVidia website. (Also, make a clean uninstall first by using DDU.)

I didn’t do anything in the meantime, but for 2 days the bug was there, and then suddenly since yesterday it was gone..
there was no patch and I didn’t change any drivers, it just fixed itself..
it’s weird.. but okay.. I guess??

Issues don’t miraculously fix themselves. There must be a system or hardware issue causing this whole thing, maybe a defective contact?

nothing in my hardware, or the game’s files changed as far as I’m aware, so I honestly can’t tell.
To the best of my knowledge, it did miraculously fix itself. I mean, just rebooting the pc didn’t initially fix it, because the bug was there 3 subsequent sessions.

Like I said, there must be some defective hardware or a software conflict of sorts, hence it happens randomly.
