its a very old bug thats still not fixed

not getting wxp or anything sometimes for capping keeps and towers
most of the times its keeps or sm but happens to towers aswell

funny thing is even if i solo a tower, cata the wall down kill all the guards … i sometimes dont get anything for it, its like i didnt participated in the fight…

is this ever going to be fixed?
my guess is no and it probably will still be there after expansion.

I’ve not heard of anyone else encountering this.

• Have you used the /bug report tool in game, to make sure the QA team has the information they need to troubleshoot?
• Have you contacted support? (Ideally providing them with the exact time/location.) They probably won’t be able to fix anything for you, but they might be able to let you know if you are the only one suffering this issue or if the devs are aware of an issue (and maybe working on a fix).

I’ve never heard this one and even I’m mostly a WvW player, I’ve never experienced this bug before.

this happens A LOT to me.
i mean the amount of levels i should have gotten by now its ridiculous….

What did the CS Team have to say? Did they suggest a -repair of the client, in case of corrupted file(s)?

this is not a display bug, yes i get exp/wxp from killing players and lords/guards
you can clearly see my exp/wxp bar go up when that happens, but nothing happens from capping the keeps…(i dont get participation reward)
i dont get silver/karma/wxp/exp nothing, this is not a visual bug. capping green keep would have given me a rank up.
and yes i have reinstalled gw2 alrdy, it did not fix it.

They did advice me to send an ingame bug report when it happens, so i did.
however i’ll probably not get response from ingame bug reports and i kinda want one
i’ve lost to much wxp alrdy because of this.

You won’t get a response from submitting an in-game Bug Report, as stated on the report window.

If enough players report the same bug, then, depending on its importance, it will be fixed, if the Devs can duplicate it, and find the cause.

i’ve lost to much wxp alrdy because of this.

Your video cuts off the two events too soon; it doesn’t give anyone enough time to see what happened (or what didn’t happen). I don’t see the medallion pop up, but I do see other signs that you got credit. It might be worth:

• Putting something on your watch list (e.g. tower capture) so you can see if the game is at least giving you credit for the achievement.
• Opening up the wvw window and displaying the third tab, that shows wxp — that way you can see (and show) whether that is increasing after captures or not.

Do keep filing the in-game reports via /bug — although you won’t get a personalized response, ANet will need that data if they have any hope of troubleshooting.

I realize that the situation is extremely frustrating, but as you can see, there aren’t reports of this happening to others. This could mean it’s unique to you or just that others just aren’t as observant. Either way, it’s not going to get resolved quickly.

I’m failing to understand how this is not a known issue? At least on my server (SoS) people acknowledge this bug as a thing that happens occasionally and just deal with it.

I myself have been victim of this bug, mostly in regards to capturing Stonemist. I’m also fairly certain (Not 100%, but confident) that it does NOT count for capture achievements, as I think achievement credit is attached to the event completion.

This bug seems to be attached to specific objectives, Stonemist being one, and I recall the only other objective I’ve not gotten credit when I should is the green keep in EBG. To my knowledge all towers, and all remaining keeps count as they should without fail.

Based on my personal experience this bug seems random, I have not been able to notice any consistencies as to why it occurs (Other than it seems to only happen to Stonemist and green EBG keep).

I know several people whom suffer randomly from this bug, but its completely random, ive seen times where ive helped a zerg take down outta and inner SMC, kill lord, stand in the circle and BAM no WxP, its also common in EotM.

This is not a display issue, as the WxP bar does not move at all,

But I have never been able to replicate this problem, I would say that a lot more people do suffer from this bug, but just don’t even realise it, as hey who looks at the top of the screen to see if they got the WxP.
