Guild Wars 2

Okay not really sure if this is the right place for this but today I was in the dark room part of the jumping puzzle in wvw when a couple of Tarnished Coast playesr started attacking me. I tried to get away from them by dropping my torches and hiding. This worked but then one of the invaders somehow sent me a party invite. The players name on the party icon said Tarnished Coast Invader. Curios i accepted the invite. Sure enough i was in the pary with an invader. They then were able to kill me within a matter of seconds by using the blue party member dots on the minimap to find me. After that they were able to use party chat to talk to me and were able to whisper me. Im not sure if this was a hack or a possible exploit. The whole event was kinda suprising. I asked in map chat if anyone had ever heard of this kinda thing and know one knew of anyway it could be done. Like i said before the players name showed up as Tarnished coast Invader in the party ui but in the party chat and the whispers the players name was Hayden. As far as i can tell this was a hack or an exploit. Not really sure what else to do but post it and hope it gets fixed.

I just went back to take a screen shot of the part chat but it is gone since the player left the party. Im thinking it was a hack now more than it was an exploit

That’s interesting — I have a friend on Jade Quarry (I’m on Sanctum of Rall) who I was sending messages to and he never got them. After a bit I tried to invite him to my party and all of a sudden both party chat -and- whispers worked. Even when we dropped party. Now I -want- to be able to talk to him but I think it’s the same issue. =)
