wyvern patriarch event bugged, when he put is shield the egg skill does not work , it say enemy most be targeted to use the skill. and even if you target the patriarch wyvern skill still does not work. was like that for every one trying to do the event.

maybe some bug cause by new glider skill. since the egg skill in that event is also using the glider. Dev. check the code.

Yeah, it’s odd. And pretty annoying since I need tiers 4 in order to get a bladed coat armor.

Well you can just give up on that until it’s fixed, no biggie.

During the patriarch fight in Verdant Brink night: canopy bosses, the Patriarch cannot be beaten because the egg-throwing phase does not allow you to throw the wyvern eggs at him to break his shield.

The eggs do not explode when you are hit like they are supposed to and any attempt to use the 1 skill to throw them gives the error message “enemy must be targeted to use this skill” even though it is a ground-targeted attack. The 2 skill to gain swiftness and the 3 skill to drop the egg still work.

Today in the fight with Wyvern Patriarch after the first damage phase he built up his cozy shield (which we supposed to break with eggs) but nothing could be done – game kept telling everyone that “You must have an enemy targeted to use that skill” even though Patri was clearly chosen as a target.

Unfortunately this happened for me as well today and yesterday. As I was doing the event for the first time I thought I was doing something wrong but after watching some youtube videos I am positive – the event is bugged. The eggs cannot be used at all.

4 metas today for me, all the same. Pretty garbage that the only way to get the coat is to do the meta perfectly, which relies on other people, and they add a reward track to give you the gloves…which can be bought for gears.

Didn’t see the same topic name on two first pages here (maybe I’m blind but wel…) so:

Patty is bugged for three days at least now. During the stage when you have to drop eggs on his head any action you use gives “You must have a target selected” or something similar.

Another strange thing I’ve noticed: during Verdant Brink nighttime events my skills fail to use sometimes. It’s like you see the skill recharged, you use it but nothing happens. AoE circle appears, if you use AoE skill i.e., but then disappears and nothing happens. Like cd timers are wrong or I don’t know. Pretty funny that it happens only during outpost defenses, I can’t reproduce this bug during boss fight for example or during free roaming at daytime – it works as it should.

There’s a nasty bug that seems to crop up pretty often in the Wyvern Patriarch fight where the eggs you grab to bomb its shield cannot be used. You receive a message like “you must have a target”, but even with the Patriarch targeted they cannot be used. This blocks progress on the fight entirely. In addition, this blocks meta event progress and makes it nearly impossible for a map to reach Tier 4, thus blocking progress on several achievements and collections.

This has been bugged since the LWS3 Patch last week.

Currently experiencing this, not cool.

It’s been at least a month now that every time nightfall rocks around, the Patriarch is bugged. I don’t care if it’s been reported before. I’m reporting it again till someone ACTUALLY FIXES IT

Personally, I’m fine with people starting new threads about a long-term bug that has fallen off the ‘front page’ of the forums. I’m ok with expressing some frustration in the post. You’re definitely not alone wanting this to be fixed sooner rather than later.

However, keep in mind, it’s not going to get fixed any quicker as a result. (And it’s definitely not going to be fixed sooner because someone confuses the gem shop art team with the QA team.)

You might have some luck asking for a status update, since developers sometimes respond to those.

stuff like this makes me lose hope in anet….

I’m not sure what this screen shot is supposed to show but I agree, this is inhibiting game progress and blocked game progress is not what I paid for. OP, please submit another support ticket through the website since mods seem to have a terrible time following up with forum posts.

Experienced this bug today along with some of my guildies. We would appreciate some feedback on what is being done, or can be done, about this bug. At the very least some confirmation that this bug is on Anet’s radar.

Same for me as well, Wyvern Patriarch seems to be bugged on the use wyvern eggs to break his shield section as of today.
