It seems that if you post a thread with any question marks, moderators are moving it to Players helping Players in what appears to be an attempt to keep General discussion full of complaints about the game. But whatever, this thread isn’t about how silly that is, this thread is about the fact that once they move your thread, it’s effectively gone. Here is the private message I received five times from “Forum Moderator” (they’re all exactly the same).

A moderator moved a message you posted to the forum ‘Players Helping Players’ with the reason:

moving to players helping players

So this is fine, except the link at the bottom is to the players helping players forum, not the thread they moved. If you’re going to move my thread fine, but can you please give me the correct link to it?

Assuming this is a “bug” with the copy and paste message we’re getting.

Edit: I just found the post my most recent message came from, and it wasn’t even my thread – it was a thread I posted a reply to. Even more unlikely that I’m going to find it when it’s not even my thread.

I noticed that too. Mostly i get a link to the forum in the PM and not the thread. Could you please fix that, arena net?

I reported this during beta weekend 3 thinking it was a forum bug. But since launch several posts I have posted in have been moved for whatever reason and It’s always with these horrible dead end p.m.’s I really wish they would get this fixed.

Yes please. I had a thread moved to “Suggestions”, but I can’t find the thread now, because of what the OP said- the link goes the forum front page, not the thread in question.

Should also tell the appropriate team to also tell you the name of the thread that was moved. Currently the “moved topic” messages are completely useless and are nothing more than spam.

The link was still to the forum, but having the title allowed me to find the thread again through my forum profile. Not perfect, but much better.
