Q:

Was running perfect last night, then today after the update I tried to log on and after clicking play is gets stuck at a blank white screen. Any solutions?

Have you deleted the Application Support folder?

For anyone that doesn’t know where to find the application support folder:

Procedure:
in finder menu go to your library (shown by pressing alt in the “go to” menu)
go to the application support folder
delete the “guild wars 2” folder
play !

The forums are a plattform for communication between players first and foremost. Developer interaction is and has always been optional.

This particular forum exists so that players can provide helpful advice on matters where they have the capability to do so, like telling them about the application support folder, how to use the f-keys, or how to deal with the endless advances of the opposite sex after they purchased their Mac.

This is a cross post, i posted about this yesterday, same problem

Hi, My game has been running fine for ages on my mac mini and this black screen after login problem just started yesterday, i deleted the app folder gw2 folder and then it redownloads and the game starts up, but same problem i can hear the music and if click on where my char should be the game loads and i can hear i am in the game, but still a black screen, also on the 4th time i deleted the app folder when i started up the game and it repaired itself, i got this message “GrDeviceGetMetric(GR_METRIC_DEV_CAPS, &devCaps)
A serious error has occurred that prevented the application from continuing. A report has been sent to ArenaNet to help determine the cause.”
Anyone ever seen that message or knows what it means?
