Guild Wars 2

First of, Thank you so much ANet for fixing the FPS issue!! I can finally play WvW again!

On to my problem. After the new patch, I’ve been experiencing a constant 10-15 minute crash every time I play. I get smooth play through for around 10 minutes the all of a sudden, my screen goes black and it doesn’t go away. It’s kind of frustrating, specially when doing dungeon runs/guild missions. I’ve done a fresh install of the game already but it doesn’t seem to have fixed anything. I have a feeling it’s just some sort of memory leak.

Suggestions are very much appreciated!! Please help your fellow mac user.

P.S. I have a fairly new 13-inch MBA (i5 + 4gb RAM)

Having the same problem every 5-10 mins just out of nowhere crash… then i get a message saying a serious error has occurred.

First try this:

4.)If it doesn’t work, you can try to delete the contents of the gw2 data folder, it’s a pain to get to the right one: this step is a general fix for many tp and graphics issues, even without the previous steps however, it will lose all saved log in/password and in-game settings.
To access this:
1 Click on the “Finder” icon located in your dock or the desktop of your computer to make “Finder” the active program in the finder menu bar.
2 Hold down the “Option” key on your keyboard while clicking “Go” in the finder menu bar. A drop-down will appear.
3 While still holding down the “Option” key, click on “Library” in the “Go” drop-down.
4 Once in the Library folder click on Application Support > Guild Wars 2
5 Move the entire Guild Wars 2 folder to the trash and then empty the trash.
The next time you launch Guild Wars 2 it will recreate the recently deleted folder.

Then try doing a PRAM and SMC reset to see if that helps.

I am also having this issue. After downloading the last patch I can open Guild Wars to the Character select screen, but as soon as I press ‘Play’ the screen loads for a while, then shuts itself down and I get an Apple report error message saying the game quit unexpectedly.
I have tried the fix above and it had not worked.
I have reinstalled the game, that has no worked and I have tried shutting down and restarting the computer.
All my MAC software updates are up to date.
I think this is an issue with the latest patch because I have had no problems before that last update. Do we have any information on how long this will take to fix?

this has happened to me 10 times today. REALLY getting sick of this kitten happening EVERY SINGLE TIME they release a new update to the game.

And anybody with sense would have OBVIOUSLY lowered the graphics by now. It… doesn’t… help… anything.

I’ve been systematically trying each graphics settings one at a time and I dont think its just limited to environment .. more so in wvw .. character limit seems to play a lot in if its going to crash or not.. i think its highly subjective as to where in the game you are .. pve/wvw and how “busy” that spot is at any given moment and if you are in the middle of that “Busy”.

just say it! The game is unplayable with more than 25-30 players on screen. Mac users are getting bent over here.
