You might try asking over in the Mac sub-forum. Good luck.
don’t bother wasting your time. its been over a year, with barely any communication at all. Let alone any “lip service”. don’t get your hopes up…

They have not announced any plans of making a native OSX client anywhere in the near future.
why call it ‘beta’ if no final version?
“beta version (plural beta versions)
(computing, technology) A development status given to a program or application that contains most of the major features, but is not yet complete. Sometimes these versions are released only to a select group of people, or to the general public. The testers are usually expected to report any bugs they encounter or any changes they’d like to see before the final release. This is the second major stage of development following the alpha version, and comes before the release candidate.”
‘beta’ is final bug/other testing by an open/closed player base before the final full release. If there will be no full release, it wouldn’t be a ‘beta’ – it would be the final release.

Thank you, somebody finally put into words what has been going on for a year. The term “beta” would imply that, mac users, actually have a native client, with which to report bugs and glitches for. Seeing as our game is still the FINAL window version of the game, forced through a port. Calling it a “beta”, is a blatant lie. ITS NOT A BETA IF ITS NOT EVEN NATIVE!

A fantastic point that ANet will sadly never comment on lest they dare to admit they have been falsely advertising a product for over a year.

For what its worth the mac game client for Warhammer Online was “beta” from launch until they shut down the game(they also used the same CIDER wrapped windows exe like GW2 does).. just because it says “beta” one should not read into it beyond that..
