For a couple of months I haven’t been able to start the client. I tried to download and install the game, several times. Over and over. But it’s always the same result:
It downloads and as I try to start the client, nothing happens. The GW2 program still runs and has to be ‘’ force quit ’’ to stop but there’s no screen or anything. I was able to play perfectly fine before, please help!

Open Finder
Click “Go” in the menu bar at the top of the screen
A drop down of folder locations should appear, now if you press and hold the option key on your keyboard “Library” should appear as one of the options under the Go menu.
Click Library
(Note, it HAS to be that library, there are other Library folders on your mac but they are different so you have to follow my instructions above)
Within the Library folder is another folder called Application Support. Open it.
Now find the “Guild Wars 2” folder inside the Application Support folder.
Delete the Guild Wars 2 folder from Application Support.
Empty the trash
Run GW2

It should do a short download and then hopefully the game will run as normal

Kitten, can I ask what your computer specs are? (OS, CPU, GPU, RAM etc).
Also, you say you WERE able to play previously?
What is the error message that it gives you?

RaFreedom, have you managed to successfully install the game? I’m not asking if you have managed to play because I understand that you havent, but has the game actually installed?
When you downloaded the Guild Wars 2 client from the guildwars2.com website what happened? Did it download approximately 17GB of files? Or did it not even get that far?
