Guild Wars 2

I have been crashing all day long about every 15 to 20 minutes. Here is the error message i have been getting.

System Specifications:
iMac 27-inch, Mid 2011
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
Mac OS Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

I should also add this did not start happening until after the 12/14/2012 patch update. It happens more frequently in heavy populated areas and at least 3-4 if on a dragon.

I thought after wintersday was over with this would no longer be an issues… however I am still crashing in heavy populated areas and may never see past frac2.

Has anyone solved this yet?

This problem is happening to me as well! Sometimes with no error message!

I too would love help in understanding how to end this!

I get the same thing – happens in densely populated areas – WvW is the main one for me. Very frustrating, hope it can be fixed soon.

I had same issues and i solved it, a solution is very simple

When you are in game, open options —> graphics options and under Advanced Setting you have Settings Preset, just choose Best Performance.
After i did that i never get crash in wvw or heavily populated events.

OK! Just got some useful info that I THINK has solved the crashing problem. I just did Tequatl with a large group and didn’t have issues.

In the Graphic Options section, try setting the Frame Limiter to 60. The support person told me that “If the FPS gets too high, it causes hardware to get too hot so that it slows down to prevent overheating. Most monitors only display 60 FPS so it’s at no visual performance loss.”

Also said to check Vertical Syncing.

He also told me I could have all my other settings at high.

wow – I run GW2 on bootcamp with exactly the same machine, but all I am able to play with decently is low to medium settings.

in WvW frames drop to 15-30fps depending on how many players and effects are going on. I can hardly believe you can play at all settings on high!

I had this problem; it went away after deleting the Application Support folder.
