Zagozda – LVL 80 Warrior
Trynity Killer – LVL 80 Ranger
I tried to search with no luck.
My strafe left key seems to stick on various computers and keyboards. I have to just smash a bunch of movement keys and it wont stay.
Anyone else have this problem? Like I said I would say its just my computer or keyboard but it happens on 2 different desktops and my laptop.
It happens after i hold down the key for a while during a fight.
It is a problem the game has in general (not just a mac issue). Essentially if you hit multiple keys at the same time you stand a good chance of one of them sticking. This commonly happens if you’re trying to pick up loot and move around at the same time (resulting in the movement key sticking). Press the stuck key and it should destick it.
This is an annoying problem, but happens frequently still. Lol, it could get you into trouble if you don’t pick up on it quick enough (spinning in circles in stead of standing, running off edges or into a group of baddies unprepared). But to confirm Nageth’s suggestion above, yes, pressing the key that is stuck always fixes it for me.
I’m getting this more and more these days. It’s making the game unplayable in PvP, and plain annoying in general.
Sadly, I don’t think anyone from Anet is reading this. I highly recommend you file a ticket regarding this issue since it’s still getting worse for you. At least this way, they’ll hear about it again.
LMAO. This was an issue all the way back in Guild Wars 1. I don’t expect they’re going to fix it. Maybe they don’t even know how? xD.
I don’t remember experiencing this in gw1.

Well you’re lucky then xD.
It only happened with certain key combinations or overloads I think.
But I tended to have my character either running forwards of his own accord (which couldn’t be fixed by pressing the auto-run key or by running in a different direction because the second I stopped pressing anything he’d just run forwards again), or my character would just spin in circle.
The spinning in circles thing was the worst, it meant that when I tried to run he ran in a curve rather than straight, and when I stood still the camera just went round and round and round. xD
After playing this weekend I noticed this issue a lot more on the mac. First and foremost, make sure sticky keys is off in System Preferences → Universal Access → Keyboards. Second, under System Preferences → Keyboards → Keyboard you should have repeat off (slide the slider down all the way). This eliminated a lot of the problems with sticking keys. It almost seems that there is a lag input between key press and release, causing the system keyboard to continue repeating the key press at certain times. The game (skill) lag issue, which affects all clients will still on occasion cause this stuck key issue as well.
