Q:
Natural scrolling is the mind killer
A:
Thats what you get for being a weirdo.
I personally think there is nothing “natural” about natural scrolling. You spend most of your time scrolling down, on a mouse that movement has always been a pull, but OSX turns it into a push by default. That is insanely bad for your fingers. Enjoy your arthritis!
(Now being serious)
I don’t think there is any way they can remedy this for you. Either they could force it to use “unnatural” scrolling, which would mean it would be the reverse of what you’re used to even in menus. Or you just switch off natural? :S
I think you will get used to it after a day or two, same way people can easily adjust to inverted camera movements etc.
As a slight follow-up, I’ve discovered the menus work really well with natural scrolling (because it’s like every other windowed app in OS X). So maybe the answer is I just need to HTFU and get used to scrolling “the wrong way” to zoom the map and visual field in and out.
I can’t get scrolling to work at all !
Same here can’t get the scrolling to work. nor the map zoom. (Zoom is key located -= etc etc) I don’t use the standard mac mouse but a two button mouse. It works with other Mac programs.
I do hope there is a solution for this, cause it will prevent me using the Mac.
The color are awesome on a Mac btw
Have you tried to uncheck the “Mac Beta: Use scrolling gestures to change direction.” option to make it work?

QFT. After playing for a week or so, I’m sort of used to it. I still have the odd brain function failure with it but it’s ok.

What does mouse has to do with natural scrolling? Its a trackpad thing. And even if you use a mouse wheel for that, I fail to see any substantial difference between moving the finger forwards or backwards. What is really bad for your fingers is using a mouse with stiff wheel.
