Not getting any sound on GW2
Open up System Preferences and make sure that the correct device is set for your speakers.
Open up GW2 and open the Options menu. Navigate to the sound panel and try turning the Master Slider to the far Right, try putting all the other sliders to the far right. Check that the sound device in GW2 is correct and try changing the sound device to check the others in case they work.
Do you have any speakers plugged in or are you using your mac’s default speakers?
Yes, please post back and let us know how you go.
Had this issue a few times, It helps for me to reset GW by completely exiting the program then relogging in. Sometimes I still have the issue but 90% of the time it fixes it.
Chemistry can be a good and bad thing. Good when you make love with it. Bad when you make crack.
Momma, I don’t think that’s going to fix his issue.

Thanks for the reply
I tried this out but it isn’t working for me. On the GW2 Sound Options, the audio devices I can select are “Default Device” and “Default Playback Device”. Selecting either doesn’t get me sound as well.
Sounds on my mac are working since I can play off itunes while running the game but the in game music and sounds don’t work.
Sound’s Back! I finally figured it out. So basically, I had this app before called “Hear” which boosted audio and it seems that the plugin file which was left behind was causing problems with GW2 Audio.
If anyone does have audio issues, you might’ve installed hear or a similar app before. On you mac, just navigate to /Library/Audio/Plugins and delete the files which came from audio apps you aren’t using anymore.
Hope that helps others having the same errors.
Well, that was different! Glad you figured out your problem
