With settings on low to medium, FPS capped at 30, I regularly run at 90C and upwards of 105C (which I thought was the shut down point).

Just curious what others experience…

iStat menus
it tells you things like network, cpu, memory usage, temperatures, and also lets you control fan speeds.
if you know yours gets hot when playing a lot, turn the fan speed up a notch or two before starting.

How is that even possible? I run GW2 on my Early 2013 Retina MBP on medium to high settings, pretty much maxed out on Mac Beta. And I run around 40fps and not even too hot.

Weird.

I would guess CPU contention. My new air is running better than my old pro and I’m guessing it’s more to do with CPU than GPU with the cider port (but could be wrong).
