I have already created my character and while registering I chose my character’s name as well. While on page 10 of character set up it asks you to sign (character’s name) and it said mine was already in use. How you do I use the name I have already chosen?

What that means is the name you have chosen is already taken by someone else. GW2 has unique names for characters. So you will need to think of a different name as it appears the one you selected is already taken by another player.

So the name that appears on this forum won’t be the name I can use for my character?

On the forums this is your display name. It is also your display name in game for followers and friends list. When you create a character you give it a unique name of your choosing. For example say I make a Warrior and go through the character creation process. At the end I am asked to name it. I will have to come up with a name no one else is using. So let’s say I name it Rodgort the Burninator. As long as that is not taken that will be my character’s name and that is what people will see in chat and on the screen when playing that character.
