performance on rMBP with 750m and i7?
You would get around 20-30FPS.
I have a non retina MBP with a 650m, 4GB RAM and a 2.2Ghz i7.
With everything set to high it’s 20 FPS, if I change Shader and Shadows to medium then 25FPS and if I change shader and shadows to low then 30FPS (the visual quality drop isn’t all that noticeable).
The part where you might run into trouble is with the 2GB of RAM. GW2 is a resource hog, even more so on OSX.

This specifies that you need 4GB of RAM to run GW2 on OSX.
So your computer technically isn’t supported at the moment and it may not be able to run GW2.
In all honesty – install Win7 64bit using bootcamp and play GW2 off that. It’s what I do – your laptop is decent enough (like mine mostly) and GW2 just runs much better if you’re willing to boot into windows to play (I get around 45FPS).
That makes me incredible sad to read:(
I really would prefer not to boot into bootcamp. My SSD does not have a lot of room, and the drivers for Bootcamp are not very good. the dgpu is kicking in permanently as windows can’t detect the integrated graphics, and the fans and heat output is all over the place. So I feel I am in a bind.
I want a Mac mainly for the power, portability(lightweight), low weight but more than all the build quality. The screen, the keyboard, the trackpad, even the audio speakers are suuperior to all other notebooks I have tried.
When I look at the competing laptops like Alienware 14 and Razer Blade. they are just not realistic options if your both doing work, transporation and gaming in equal measurements. It makes me sad:(
There is a topic about rMBR late 2013. The performance is better than your thought so

That is not to shabby at all:) Thanks, friend!

You have misunderstood the tech specs and therefore provided a very misleading statement.
It’s the graphics card that has 2GB of RAM. The laptop itself has 16 GB of RAM. So RAM will not at all be a problem here.

Don’t be sad. He just misunderstood.

My bad, the actual RAM amount wasn’t listed anywhere so it’s pretty easy to see how someone could mistake one for the other, given that the computers RAM is usually more important/prominent than the video cards.
