Guild Wars 2

Ok, so i recently bought this game right around Christmas and I’ve been waiting for years! I followed the directions included and watched the download start. It was fine until just around 3% or 4% then the KB/sec dropped to 0.00, so i restarted, same thing. I let it download over night and i got to about 45% and it said it failed because i wasn’t connected to the internet, except I’m wire connected directly to the internet. So after days of restarting and retrying i finally downloaded the whole thing. I would play for 20 minutes and get error code 7 totally randomly. Sometimes i could go an hour or two without it or it would be a matter of minutes. The forums talk about disconnecting internet would be the problem but again i have direct connection! Now this recent small patch on 1/3/13 I’m having the same downloading problem as before! i can get about 2 files per try. If there is some way to fix this please help me! It’s so frustrating!! I love the game but it seems I’m getting every problem imaginable!

are you using avg? because if you are it’s known to stop the download rate.
