Hello.

Bought the game yesterday. After installing from the 2 discs the client started downloading a 10Gb patch. By the time it was done i had to go, so i turned it off and shut down my PC. Later that night i wanted to play (since the patcher was done earlier) but it started downloading a 10 Gb patch again. I did let it dl over night, however i had to go to work in the morning so i closed it again and shut down my PC.
And now, well, its downloading the 10Gb patch again.

Isn’t the patch installing automatically after the client downloaded it? I can’t tell since i was never around to see myself.
Shouldn’t the patch be on my hard drive even if i didn’t install it..? Strange..

Interesting, I feel like that is a huge mistake on ArenaNet’s part D=
You should be able to do what you have explained above, patch and then close when the patch is complete, then come back and expect it to work.

Yea, i can think of 5 games i played i the last 5-6 years where the patch is applied without actually starting the game.
