At the start of this week I had returned to my room in the youth hostel I currently reside from visiting my parents, I try to log in GW2 and notice I have been perm banned for use of a bot. Though seeing as being away that weekend and not taking my laptop I had no clue what was up, I checked my email for answers and see that a Appeal was made apparently from me? This really shocked me as it would seem another one of the youths I live with managed to access my computer and got on my email or something? I regret not taking it with me, I made an appeal outlining what I believe happened, no one is owning up as to who accessed my laptop.

This is quite an annoying situation for me, I would like to ask what are the possible outcomes. I don’t know what state my account may be in, would it be possible to get it back after an account termination?

Anyone able give insight into the possible outcomes, I am itching to play.

If by “appeal” you mean ticket, you will just have to wait. I’ve never heard of ArenaNet making an exception for someone who said another person was using their pc since ArenaNet has no proof of whether this is actually true for anyone, and it’s ultimately up to each player to control access to his/her own account.

your only chance is if the one that used your laptop didnt actually use a botting program but instead got banned because of the auto-hit function everyone’s talking about in the banned thread , have a gm look at it see if its another case of that else if your friend used a actual bot program or keyboard automation u dont stand a chance was it or not u the one that actually did it

That’s true I can understand that thought I do not live with the most trust worthy people, many being jealous and I can totally understand their intentions. I don’t know what he/she was actually doing just it was classified as a bot/third party program. I hope there is a way to ressolve this as purchasing another copy of the game currently would not be possible.

im gonna take a guess since there is an appeal up not made by u that the person that did it done it accidentally so if u are being honest (not trying to offend u just alot of ppl say alot of things) then its propably a autorun autohit ban while he was afk , why would someone intentionally ban your account out of jealousy and then appeal against it just saying

I can’t say for sure but I’m not sure he intentionally banned it? Maybe he/she just wanted to play and then got the account banned, then tried to appeal it so I wouldn’t find out? Just one theory. I really don’t know, it’s annoying I’ll just wait it out.
