Got wrongfully banned 19 hours ago, submitted a ticket in when it happen and yet to receive any contact from Support. Others who got banned got it resolved in 2-3 hours. Shouldnt take this long for anyone past 5-8 hours to get this fixed if there is a team of people whose sole job is to constantly fix these issues.
I’ve been suspended for two days. You’re going to need to be patient and let the people do their jobs.
KrisV it seems like about the same time it happened to me in the same time frame. I had read that they have an automated system that searches for “botting” if you are like me and that is was your cause for being banned, I’m curious as to what you had done yesterday while playing. I doubt they will come out with the specifics on what the bot searches for, but I have a feeling [for me] it was because I was dying constantly without armor on possibly? I was doing the griffon rock run jump puzzle with some people from a different guild, and I remember seeing someone else comment on how they were rubber banding like myself before I lost connection to a black screen and was forced to restart to a “banned” prompt. Also curious as to whether any of the others in the party were banned or if I was the only one, but I have no way to contact them. I assume this will get resolved, I would hate to not be able to play this game again because I won’t be buying another copy. I already purchased one for a friend as well as my own.
Was killing earth eles for onyx lodestones for Twilight, since “farming” isnt needed in the game but yet we have to do it if we want items. And doing Shelter event, which everyone does it along with Plinx during the day. When I got banned at night I was doing the new jumping puzzles with a guildie that we havent done yet.
Interesting, so you as well were doing a jump puzzle? Did you have your armor on of off? Also did you die several times?
Full 42k armor on, what bot has 42k armor btw and full exotic weapons,accessories, and died once cause i over jumped a globe.
Ok, yea I was just curious. I hadn’t left my computer all afternoon, but I had been on for quite a few hours…. probably 6 when it happened. No AFK that I know of. Other than that I had done maybe 4-5 jump puzzles and sold some stuff on the BLTP. As far as the BLTP goes I don’t imagine I had done anything illegal, I had bought several bags, consumed them and sold the stuff I didn’t want back to the market? Is that something that could have been a legitimate reason to ban me?
No, I wonder if making 12g on the TP from selling 6 exotic GS i got from the mystic forge was why i got banned having so much gold come in at once or whatever may of thought I was doing something wrong. Idk its just bs so many people are having this happen to them and seems like nothing is being done in this past month to curve and stop the problem.
Well I think the “bot sweep program” may still have a few kinks in it. It’s frustrating because I do spend a lot of time in the game although I did take a month off recently. I have other things I can do, but when something like this happens I feel it necessary to continually check in to see if there is any progress on my ticket. It doesn’t help that I recruited a close friend from another game, bought the game for him as he didn’t want to spend the money on it seeing as he purchased a newly released game Tuesday [I don’t know the rules on talking about other games so I won’t name it.] and then the day after I buy it for him I get banned for something I didn’t do. I hope it gets resolved in a timely manner as not only have I reported spam before, I’ve also given the game great remarks on various websites [retailers/gaming blogs]. This is an issue the studio needs to resolve especially when dedicated players, ones that will bring more business with their praise and have lengthy play times get pulled out and aggravated. The negative response will do much more harm then the criticism of actual bots and gold sellers when they switch and take loyal friends with them.
Destinee are you on Furgesons Crossing? I too was banned last night while doing the Griffinrook jumping puzzle with some guildies (Serene Legacy) and we had one non-guildy with us. I’m pretty sure everyone in my party was doing it without armor on to minimize repair costs.
I’m pretty unhappy with this situation. I filed a ticket last night and haven’t heard a peep beyond the automated “we got your ticket” e-mail. There is NO way that anyone with half a brain looked at my account activity before the banhammer came down on me because I have never botted or done anything even remotely bot-like.

Yes SEER. I was in Teamspeak with everyone and they thought you may have had it happen to you also, which obviously it did.
I find it interesting that you and I were both at the chest/achievement point when it happened. As far as I know no one else had it happen to them.
