Guild Wars 2

Login screen, updating GW2 client. Made it all the way to 99% and then it halted, dl 0kb/sec 6 files remaining.

Reset client begins downloading, makes several attempts then sits at 0kb/sec 6 files remaining.

Lets me login just fine but won’t finish the patch and won’t let me play. After a minute or so patch bar removes all text except for a 0% on the far left.

I have now attempted to run client with all background services turned off as well as disabled firewall, still the same issue. Game ran just fine before the new patch.

Edit: Setting DNS provider to google also failed to fix the problem.

Having same issue.

I tried everything, around 8 different solutions found on the forums/support site, and none of them worked. Figures it would be something really simple

My client is stuck updating at 99% with one file left. What should I do?
1. First, locate and delete your local.dat file which can be found in your Documents > Guild Wars 2 folder.

2. Next,reboot your computer and launch Guild Wars 2 again. After seeing the “1 file remaining” message, a secondary protocol should kick in to download the missing file from the backup system. This process usually takes about 10 minutes.

3. If after 15 minutes or so you find that the above process has not resolved the issue – that is, you’re still stuck at a 99% download – please try this work-around: Change the language setting for the launcher (in the top right corner of your screen) to a different language. At that time, the download should complete. Once that occurs, change the launcher back to your original language and log in to play.
