Q:
Just tried the 64 bit client and I’m having a strange issue where the resolution appears to be lower when using the 64 bit client rather than the 32 bit client. When I use the 32 bit client the windowed resolution appears to be 1920×1080 (my desktop settings). When I load the game using the 64 bit client it appears much lower, like 1600×900 or lower AND performance is a lot slower.
I can force the 64bit client to run 1920×1080 and it looks right, but the performance is still crippled.
When autodetecting graphics using the 32 bit client, it sets everything to HIGH.
When autodetecting graphics using the 64 bit client, it sets everything to LOW.
I am using a Gigabyte P34 which comes with the Nvidia GTX 970m and a Intel HD onboard video card. It feels like the 64 bit client is using the Intel gpu.
I have attached a picture which demonstrates this. The 64 Bit client is pictured on the left.
Is there some preferences file that the 64 bit client is using? Or some setting change I need to make?
Any help appreciated!

This has come up before… There should be a solution to your problem on the forum
If I remember correctly i has to do with the PROGRAM name not being recognised by the software of your GPU so it defaults to intel graphics instead of using your dedicated GPU… Try renaming your 32 bit client gw2-32.exe and your 64bit-client gw2.exe and retry. (in this order)
I personally have no integrated graphics, so I’m doing this from head,I’m sure it was in the bugs and/or players helping players thread.

I’ve got the same issue with my x64 client. Don’t know what to do either. If any1 encountered that problem please help us.
Best regards.
Same issue as well with my x64 Alienware NVIDA GTX 675M. My systems still is crashing during last two hours of big fight in MOM.

I did a search of the forum for this problem and didn’t come up with a response but you’re suggestion seems to be the answer. I renamed my GW2.exe to GW2-32.exe and then renamed GW2-64.exe to GW2.exe and launched the game. The resolution is correct now. So, thanks!
