all the servers are based in The same location all eu server will be together as will all US servers

Actually, I stated my location in the first line of the OP. (@@_@@) Japan!
I’m currently on a US server. It’s IP address (/IP) is 64.25.33.61, you can ping that. Now all you need someone from an EU server to do the same thing and report their server’s IP address.

dont ping it . it will not respond . they have firewalled the address to prevent ddos attacks

First off, every time you zone, you are on a different server.
I gave you the IP address of one I was on one time in a previous post. You don’t want to ping/ping plotter it, fine. It’s true you will not actually get a response off it since they filter pings but you will get close to it hop wise for a reasonable estimate.

You might not be able to ping the servers, but you can name resolve them to IP, then TraceRoute the to that IP to find out how many hops it takes to get to the server.
Coming from Japan you will want a UK server. As to get to a US server you have to continent hop quite a bit. You will expect 250-300Ms of Ping time at a min going from Japan to US based servers. While you can get in 80-130MS going back to the UK.

I am currently on a UK server (connecting from Japan) and I am getting around 350 to 600ms ping, depending on the day.
I would have expected that connecting to a U.S. server from Japan would have been better due to physical proximity and a ‘direct’ under sea line…
The ping I mentioned above on a UK server has caused me to investigate. Does anyone have any correct and reliable information?
I also found this link, a map of the under sea cables… Japan has direct link to the U.S. but none to the UK.

The “UK” server is in Frankfurt Germany. The login server is still in the US but you play in Germany. Yes if you look up the IP address it’s registered to NC Interactive in the US but that isn’t where they are located.

everyone who want to test how close is the server that currently is playing ( you can guest to other servers 2 times in a day for this test if you want search for better server ) .
then go to a different server and you can use the /ip command in chat to know in what ip is your current server ( home or guest )
after this you can use the tracert and ping commands in command prompt.
in windows search type: cmd and in the black console type :
tracert [ip of the serverfrom the chat command : /ip]
ping [same ip]
Without the [] and they are two different commands .
lower milliseconds (ms ) in ping and lower hops in tracert are the best server for you
