I have a problem i have this PC configuration.:

Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3
AMD FX 8120 (4,2 Ghz)alpenfohn Broken
XFX 550w P1–550S–UKB9
OCZ agility 3 120Gb
8GB (2×4GB) Corsair Vengeance Blue 1866
VTX3D 6850 X edition
ASUS XONAR DG

And if i go to WvW any WvW i have got very low fps 5-13. I checked your suggestion
and i config my ATI catalyst how u suggestioned. Isnt good. i have got enought free space on my SSD and i installed GW2 to there. I dont think so 4,2GHZ 8 core CPU isnt enought. my memoris never full. So i dont know what can i need do. Because i really wanna go to WvW this is the best part in the game for me but i can’t enjoey it!

I can’t speak for the performance you are seeing or what you should be getting because I don’t have any experience with Bulldozer processors. I imagine it should be slightly more than that. I’m assuming you’re in combat in WvW with about 100 other people duking it out as well. These battles do take their toll on your system and because of this, modern day CPUs just can’t handle the load given to them. 4.2Ghz is a respectable overclock, but given your processor’s single thread performance the lower frame rate is to be expected, maybe not that low, but in the 15-20 range for sure. I for sure can’t really do much better than 20-25 in battles that I mentioned above with my processor.

Suggestions:
Push that overclock some more and lower the texture settings from whatever you have them set to to the absolute minimum allowed, its what I do. Then, I have the maximum setting for visible characters, but you might need to step this one down a notch and see how well it performs.

OP what settings are u using ingame ?
What are ur culling settings at ?

IF i play with single or Dungeon or im in LA FULL HD everythign si high no AAX and i have 40-60 fps. Just in WvW is Finish i choose everyting si none and low is doesnt matter. i ha 0-15 fps . I dont know! i will try make screenshot

Here it is my Game Advisior Test

Run some monitoring software and find out ur gpu usuage, cpu usuage, and clocks(clocks to make sure they are clocking up to what they should)are when in WvW zergs. Also monitor temperatures.

picture98 is im jsut watch the battle and full low everything 12 FPS

Pic94 is when im just stay on the base and full HIGH everything 40 FPS

pic99 is FULL HIGH LA 30 FPS

GW2 doesn’t do well with Bulldozer chips. Read around. I don’t think it’s AMD’s fault though. It does fine with other games.

So i wanna udnerstand YOu. This game inst optimalized to GW2? So i jsut wann udnerstand YOu i bought one game and i can unistalled if i doesnt like dungeon or single PVE farming ? Im PVP pref playe and i have good PC but this game software inst compatible with my PC?

When this game is started FX CPUs was rdy. Why didnt tell for any customers ?

Ok from all the screens it seems what ur getitng is about right for ur rig.
Try to undertsand that even beasty rigs like my own go down to 20-25 FPS and thats with a MUCH stronger CPU. Your CPU is what is slowing u down the most in WvW, just like every1 else. Its not that ur CPU is crap ..its that the GW2 engine just cant handle that many people, its not effieicnt enough and doesnt use CPU’s to their full potential.

Try this.
Set all graphics settings to medium. Set relfections to terrian and sky.
Set character limit to medium
Set character quality to low.

In windows task manager set GW2.exe priority to high.

>> 15-20 FPS

intresting my friends is have i5 2500k at 4,6 GHZ / 8 giga ram / GTX 560 not TI just GTX 560 and he have got 30 FPS while he maeking record fraps video

Yes ur friend has the higher fps thanks to his CPU.

Its not as simple as that im affraid.
Intel and AMD use completly different architecture.
Intel has faster single thread speed, and thus GW2 runs slightly better on them since GW2 gains more benefits from faster single threads rather than slower multiple threads.
Would take to long to explain in full so…….yea bassicaly GW2 prefers Intel.

HOWEVER u would still gain some if u could OC ur CPU further.

And leaving Best Texture Filtering and Depth Blur on while everything else is turned down isn’t easing the burden on the video card either.

But really the problem is single thread performance and AMD CPUs aren’t currently designed to run single threads quickly rather it’s designed to run, in your case, 8 threads nearly as well on a cost basis as an Intel i7 quad core running 8 threads with Intel’s Hyper Threading turned on. Good for servers, not so good for games or lightly threaded applications.

Ok I will try what can i do for to my PC. OK but this was surprise to me cause i understand i7 is the best CPU but my firends have got i5 and this was really intresting for me i5 more them better same like my CPU! Thank You any help i just didint understand if anybodys make any games and know game is massive CPU user why wrinting for single thread. When more peopl use more core CPU at since long time ago?
(dont need answer thsi question cause i jsut thinking this) Because You must writing system req. minimum to single playing this and min req to multiplayer to this.. Cause im and some player try tolerates cause we love this game but can not enjoy it for a long time! More people have got this problem so probably could you trying to develope more compatible?

In terms of cost effective gaming, the i5 is better in terms of price/performance so your friends are right from a certain point of view. Generally the top end i5 is $100 less than the top end i7 and is only 3-5% slower.

My point about the FX is that even the oldish Intel i7-2600 is about 40% faster executing a single thread running at 100% than the FX-8350. But when each are running 8 threads at 100%, they are nearly tied. The FX is good for certain types of applications but not games that are not held up by a slow graphics card.

all i can say intel>amd almost in all games. the gpu handles the quality of the graphics, but when there are a lot of char moving, lot of phisics and so.
Sadly i can tell you that i have similar results with a 955 quad core, very old compared to yours..
the point is that probably a 1100 black will perform even btter for some kind of games, but this may change when next gen consoles comes out.
And as new console will run on amd, we can expect ported games to run quite good.
At the moment ther’s no am3+ upgrade Worth the cos (even if as low as 200$) worh the cost, if youare foer some reson an amd fanboy, and wanna do mstly gaming i’d say that 4 cores with higher frequency is better than 8 with lower, for a smaller price. probably could even be overclocked more due to less cores and less heat.
since gw2 was developed for pc i really don’t get why doesn’t support multi thread, i’m no dev but is obvious that these engines running sigle thread are like a brand new audi s5 with a 4.2 v8 running in powersaving modeand turning off half of th cylynders.. this happens for real, but is done for fuel saving, can’t really see here the same benefit!!

Whisper, I noticed in your screenshots that even with all your settings to low, you still have “Best texture filtering”, “Depth Blur”,“High res character textures”,“Vertical Sync”. Turn them all off and you should see an improvement. "Best texture filtering isn’t very noticeable but it eats up a lot of performance. “Vertical Sync” should never be on unless you are always above 60+FPS. Otherwise it will artificially slow things down. “Depth Blur” doesn’t do much but I just like sharper images. “Best texture filtering” is not a big deal unless you have lots of players on screen, which is all the time in WvW. You don’t really see an increase in quality unless you are standing next to them and honestly you don’t have time to admire armor in the middle of a fight involving 100 players.
