hi. i have perchesed a copy of diablo 3 on the day it came out and i have had a problem with this game unfortunately. i first installed the game to my comeputer and registerd my account installation was sucecful, after i installed the game i cliked the exe file on my desktop that opend up i sucessfuly loged in but when i clik the play button it would try to load up but is freezes my computer for about
30 secons then a black screen trys to load up and flashes on ad of for abou a further 30 secons then after that the game shuts down and puts me back to my desktop with nothing open. i have ran a repair chaned my still did not work so then i changed my video card settings from anti-aliasing to application settings still did not work so i down loaded the latest AMD Catalyst and still did not work.so i thought i would reformat my computer form windows 7 to xp and repeated all the process but still dose not work. The specifications of my computer are :Processor:
AMD Athlon™ II X2 255 Processor, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
Memory:
3328MB RAM
Hard Drive:
160 GB
Video Card:
AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Monitor:

Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp.080413-2111)

If your using msi afterburner disable the onscreen display
any other programs that have an overlay or onscreen display may also stop the game from loading although fraps fps counter is fine.

i have no programs that have overlay or onscreen display as i only have guildwars 2 insatled and amd catalyst as i have just reformated my computer and i have not instaled msi afterburner yet. would ther be another reson why the game dose not run ? thank you.

Have you updated DirectX on your computer? You should use the DirectX Web Installer from Microsoft’s website. It will check your DirectX files and update/patch them up to the most current version.

OK i have updated my DirectX using Microsoft’s website was successful, restarted my computer but still no luck the exact same happens. ?

I can confirm this. I have quad core phenom and radeon 7700.
Sometimes (not always) there is a baloon message saying something like " graphic driver has crashed and it was successfully repaired itself"
