Hi Arena-net.

I don’t want to flame you or start a hate-thread. The reason I created this thread was to ask a simple question in hopes of getting an answer to it.

As you may know, people say there is a problem with pet AI. The fact is, it’s probably not a problem but a technical limitation. I know for a fact that the AI has a very well done path-finding, after I’ve tested it with some friends, but noticed that it has a zig-zag like movement.

You haven’t said any word about this ‘complain’ that can be found anywhere on the Ranger forum and therefore I hope that you can at least give me and others a short reply to the causes to why the pet behaves as it does.

Is it a technical limitation? If so, is it difficult to improve because it would increase server load?

The only question I would like to get a honest answer to is the following.
Are you planning to improve pet behavior? Be it one months or 2 years, doesn’t matter for me. I’ll at least know that you are planning it.

Please, don’t answer if you just want to talk trash about Arena-Net, only nice comments. Arena-Net, please lock this thread if you answer my question

This is posted to the wrong forum. I would try posting to game bugs or general discussion.

Tech Support is generally limited to issues with the client, patching, connections, hardware, etc., not AI mechanics.

With that said, I understand the frustration. Hopefully something happens in the near future.
