you got low fps depending where you’re looking at in-game (mouse-look) ex: looking the black citadelle from outside and/or inside black citadelle?

well, just install ati driver 12.7 Beta and voila.

i was with the 12.8 and then 12.11 beta. thoses make the game run at 20fps and drop at 13 viewing the black citadelle.

with the 12.7 beta my HD 5770 run the game all high except : Anti-aliasing = off
reflection = terrain & sky
everything else high, 1920×1080 ~120hz
running at 45-55 FPS all times !
black citadelle inside: 33 FPS

so thats it, try it and sorry if there’s already a post like this one i was too happy and have to say this to all of you.

I’m curious as to exactly what “12.7 beta” drivers you mean. Do you mean the beta driver from July 2012 (which would be 12.7 based on ATI’s numbering scheme) or do you mean the new “12.11 beta 7” drivers that were released today/recently?

I installed the 12.7 and no difference in performance with my radeon 7690M card. Frame rates are still low and Wv3 is a slide show. There is no reason why this game ran fine and I was getting 60+ FPS before the halloween patches and now its unplayable.

Interesting.
Sounds almost like this beta driver messes something up in the buggy hardware detection system of this game. Accidentally fixing it.

I´d really like to know if your FPS limiter is working right. Currently my best guess as to what´s most broken in this client.

BTW what about the disappearing terrain bug? Mine only went away after I installed the 12.10 beta(WinXP).
For a quick check hit Hoelbrak and the jumping puzzle to the vista between Jag and Bear lodge. The vista in the western park of the Black Citadel is another good one to test.

nevermind folks… today every low frame drop is back GRRRRRRrrr…
why? i didnt change nothing, same ati driver, same game and same computer…
anyways… can’t play this game with 10-15fps in any situations…
