Actually, you can still use them (at least SweetFX). Apparently, the launcher just isn’t being rendered correctly, but all the elements are there. So you just can’t see it, but it works.

How then ?

Even a simple SMAA injector doesn’t work now either. Which i’d much rather use over anet’s kitten implementation of FXAA. Don’t see why they have to go out of their way to break these things.

Thats not working for me,neither did the trick someone else posted about using autologin + nopatchui..game logs in, but no sweetfx.

I re-named my BIN folder and it auto-created a new one and I got past the Initializing screen and game works now. However, Sweetfx does not work anymore, and attempts to re-enable it will cause game to fail.

Work with sweetfx…. just try to Guess where the "login " is, and then press Enter to start the game.. or guess where the “start” is..

well thats great , months of sweet fx and gem fx working and this happens .

Can a dev comment if this is being fixed so we can use Gem fx?

Jade is angry… I’m aware that Arena.net doesnt support any kind of third party programs but now i just can’t play without GEMFX…

sigh Hope they fix that soon… I don’t want to do ninja trick to succesfully log in in the game with an injector.

This solution works for me. Thank You.

As mentioned above, when you get to initialising, wait few seconds, then hit enter. If you have auto log in, just wait a few secs after the first enter, then hit enter again, and the game will load. If you dont have auto login, but the email at least is saved, when you first press enter the screen will stay same, but the cursor should change. Then without clicking anything, type your password in. Then hit enter again, wait a few seconds and then hit enter once more. Game should load. If you have email login verification on your account, keep an eye on your email, you will be sent verification email after the first or second enter depending on whether you have auto login or not (just hit enter again a few secs after you have responded to verification email.

This will work with sweetfx if you follow the instructions exactly – however if you dont have your email saved and usually have to type both that and your password in, Im afraid you are screwed ;P
