on August 2 my paypal successfully paid and purchased fire path
but on August 3 my money was automatically refunded
i do not understand why this is
and my account is closed and I am anxiously waiting for a week without a reply

You’ll need to wait for Support to get back to you. Most likely a system along the way flagged your purchase as fraudulent for some reason, but they’re not going to be able to discuss your payment problems on the forum as that risks your account security and privacy.

Only ArenaNet GW2 support can help you with this. I wish you good luck tho. I can understand your disappointment when you try to buy the expansion but gat a locked account instead.

No, you can always make a Play4Free account to play in the Beta Weekend. No progress or rewards are kept from the demo weekends, anyway.

You also didn’t mention where you purchased it from. If it was from an unauthorized seller that might explain the issue.

Seems unlikely to me. When you run into random shop and buy a copy of PoF which turns out to be pirated, you have lost your purchase money but not your original account.

It more looks like the payment was blocked somewhere along the way. Only ArenaNet can assist there.

Not true, If it was purchased from a digital source (won’t provide the name) and it is applied to an existing account, Anet will ban your existing account if it is found to be fraudulent. It has happened many times. This website resells games that were purchased with mostly fraudulent credit cards. If the OP bought the game from an authorized retailer then it could be a payment reversal for some reason. But you are correct only Anet support can assist.
