Dear ArenaNet.
I was able to login for a long time and just now it suddenly kicks me out of the game client and when I login, it shows following message:

“The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is
most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or
connecting through a campus network.”

What do you mean by commonly caused by firewall? Do Mac have a firewall
installed? That’s something new to me. Is it possible that someone reported
me for a accuse? Or is it just the game client?

I do know that many people are having same issue so can you do us a favour and
please fix this issue as soon as possible?

I was playing GW2 halfway (been in game for the last couple of hours) when suddenly I was kicked out of the game. The error message say something about my firewall/router setting or something. I relog, when into the game, and less than 5 mins, I was kicked out again with the same error message. From then onwards, I am unable to login to the game.

At the same time, I could not access the GW2 forum (I checked, I can access other websites just fine).

After about 30 mins to an hour, I could login to the game again, and access the forum. All these happened at about GMT+8, just over midnight.

I just want to know if there was an issue at GW2’s side, or was it my network or ISP.

I’m having the same issue at the moment, Disabled firewall and everything. No change in results.

Same here. Everything was fine, I can even logon to my account, as you can see, on the forums and support site, but the game WILL NOT run says to check my firewall settings.

Same issue for me. Error code 42:6:3:2158 is what i get. Seems to be the servers

If I might jump in on this thread, I seem to be unable to login as well. I was playing perfectly fine earlier today, with no changes to my account or connection options. Hope whatever causing it is temporary. Thanks!

Edit: Well that resolved itself rather swiftly. Just managed to log in.

Ditto , game " Froze for about 30 seconds" while in a dungeon , when zoning out of the instance , it booted me , and cannot log in now.

i have the same issue, playing the game this morning, quit game had to do some real life stuff 1 hour later come back getting that error message, can’t log in

it looks like a lot of folks are having this issue…saw another thread about it not too long ago.

I’m on Sea of Sorrows NA Servers and it’s now working.

Seems fixed now, was like that for like half an hour

Same thing happened to me. Been playing for a while now and never had firewall or router issues. Came out of dungeon and game crashed. I got the same error notice you’ve gotten.

Same deal, no connections issues on my side or firewall…..

I wouldnt be too concerned. This sppears to be a wide spread issue affecting many people. Hopefully it will be fixed soon..

Just reset my computer and I got this issue. Can’t reach the log-in server.

Got the same log in error as everyone else. Recommended adjusting my router firewall, but I don’t have no router or firewall and the games been working fine since I baught the game. But all the bugs and now this are putting a bad impression on my first thoughts. Hope you clean this up..

I have the same problem starting the middle of the day, was playing fine this morning.
