Couple of questions for an account restoration, but let me give some quick information:

Somewhere around 8 months ago my account was compromized, though I didn’t know at the time since I wasn’t playing. All of my characters had gear removed, gold was missing, you know, the usual account hack stuff. I submited a ticket more than a week ago, and recieved a reply 4 days latter saying it was confirmeed to have been compromised following with tips and actions I can take to prevent this from reoccuring.

I followed the directions included and even took other actions, like adding two-step ver to my email and delete old credencials. I posted all of my information and actions taken into a reply email with other information requested in the email from the GM that is taking care of my account. Since then, almost a week ago, I havn’t received any information nor has the account been refreshed.

I’m wondering if there is something that I have missed. I did send a second reply three days ago, thinking I had not sent my reply with actions taken to the correct location, but still no contact since then.

Is a week or two the usual amount of time it takes for account restorations after resecuring our accounts (I added a google authentication as well)? Could it be they didn’t get my replies in the correct place because of sending a reply that wasn’t inside of the email the GM sent (I use yahoo and can only make a reply on it’s own)?

Sort of at a loss here.

They are swamped now from what I hear. It’s it been 7 days since the last time you got a response you can post your ticket number in the stickied red thread above.

Just as a sanity check, when you replied to the GM after you regained control of your account, did you specifically request an account restoration?

ArenaNet does not automatically restore compromised accounts. Once they restore control of a compromised account to the account owner, the account owner has to make a request for the restoration, ideally using the original service ticket. I did not see anything about requesting the restoration in your original post so I thought I would mention this just in case.
