I just received an in-game mail stating that my account will be shut down due to currency transactions?

I went to the link, and it asked me to verify my account with serial number. Unfortunately, I deleted the email with the serial number. Is there any other way to verify this or is this simply a scam? This is the first notification I’ve ever received from an ANET dev if it truly is ANET that sent this message. Please help.

this is a scam. ANet mails always have the ANet logo on them and never contain links. if a mail says it is sent by a player, it is a scam.

If you look at the email you’ll see the message in yellow at the bottom where it says it’s from another player and not ANet.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.
