Hello guys.

So, for the past week I’ve been struggling with this game. I had stopped playing it earlier this year, then I decided to come back last week I think. So, I tried to log-in but it said my PW was wrong (some days earlier I had received an e-mail that someone from KR was trying to get into my account). It’s okay, I got in touch with the support and got my account back.

Then I attached a Mobile Authenticator on my account (did it all via my iPhone, so no worries of the code for the auth being keylogged or whatever). Then I thought, “not it’s ok, I don’t have to worry about people getting into my account anymore”, but I was wrong. Even with the Mobile Authenticator, somehow, someone has access to my account. My password gets changed every 24~48h and I don’t even receive an e-mail about that. It can’t be possible that I’m typing it wrong cause it’s saved to auto log-in on the patch. By the way, I never authenticate it to remember networks.

Oh, by the way, the authenticator sometimes bugs with the website and won’t let me log in, even tho I typed the correct code and etc, with the correct password, and I just had logged in on the patch. Then to have access via web I have to save the network on the patch log in, and that’s kinda annoying.

The result of this all is that I’m constantly having to reset my password via serial-code/character name thing on the automatic process, and that is kind of annoying to do every day, when you already attached a Mobile Authenticator to the account.

Is there anything that I can do to stop this? Or maybe Anet?

Make sure your email hasn’t been hacked. That might be how they are getting access to your account.

Yeah it sounds like your e-mail has been compromised. Change your email pass and dont make it something that you have used before.

I changed its password after changing the GW2 one too.

I changed it to a 14++ digit code that only I know.
It only changes the GW2 password tho, if it my e-mail was compromised I’m pretty sure they would use some of my paypal info that are there lol

And how would they bypass the mobile auth with only having my e-mail?

You might want to consider changing your email account entirely. If you make a new one and contact Support, they can help you link your GW2 account to a new email.

I agree with Bluestocking, cause in order to get full help with this your best bet is a ticket anyway.

You say it gets changed but its not showing up as a different location? Could someone in your home be doing it? Maybe as a prank? A roommate or a sibling perhaps.

You have it set up to auto log, so it’s accessible from someone in your house. Maybe remove that and see if it makes a difference.

I’m the only one with access to my computer, I live with my mom and sister, they don’t even know how to open the patch lol. The chances of being someone here are like 0.1%, and that 0.1% would be if someone had downloaded a trojan into my PC so that someone else would have access to my files.
