Account questions pertaining to HoT
To be eligible for the refund, the account had to be purchased from buy.guildwars2.com between January 23 and June 16 and the code had to be used within that timespan.
To receive the refund, you simply had to pre-purchase HoT through buy.guildwars2.com. The price you paid for the original game would have been automatically refunded.
The deadline was July 31 however, so this deal is expired.
Eh, welp, not much on the refund part than I am about account-specific details. Gonna keep my fingers crossed on the account age thing.
If you type /age in game (on any character) it says how old the character is and the account. I know it’s not much, but you can get a rough idea on when it was created.
Like mine is just over 3 years old, so it’s little over 1095 days.
Assuming you installed GW2 at the same time you created your account, right click the folder and select properties to see the date it was created.
If you registered the account at the same time you purchased it, you can just look at the receipt.
If you’ve never changed your password before, you can login to account.arena.net and view its source. Search for “last_password_change” to see the date your password was set, which if you’ve never changed, would be the date the account was registered.
It doesn’t really matter when your original $10 account was created, as far as refunds go, as you would not be eligible. Sorry, just too late.
Well, that’s a really out-of-the way way of putting it, though I’m not sure if it’d help much since my original computer died on me, so maybe the “Last_password_change” thing might help. Though as for what Ellienna.5027 said, the age only works on the character + characters you’ve played in total, and I should probably mention that I had world changed from US the EU when I had started, so I had deleted all my characters (at the time they were sub 20 and I couldn’t care about them), also my original character was deleted to accommodate a new character, so I don’t know how old it is.
