Is it normal for ArenaNet to restore your account before 2 week suspension actually has passed?

“While our investigation points to the fact that your account was involved in a violation, we are going to extend leniency to you on a one-time basis. We have reinstated your account and you may rejoin the game now.”

I think I’ve read somewhere before where they did it, but not sure why.

It might be just in internal review and someone higher up the food chain decided the punishment was a bit too severe so decided to cut it a bit shorter. But that’s just a guess.

Personally, if it happened to me, I wouldn’t question the decision just in case it was a mistake

If you read through the threads here in support, you will find that reply from Customer Support posted a few times. It is not common, but it does happen on occasion.
