Hey guys from Arena.net I’ve recently got a message on the game. ( 20th of juli Around 22:00 GMT Standard european time ) that I am banned for 71 hours. For ‘inapprotiate language’ But i get no email for what date it should have occured. Neihter anything of what words or terms its been in.

And the most strange thing is i’ve been playing the entire day when the bann happend. i’ve just quitted my Spvp match to get a few new Glory boosters from my bank and walked back to the qeue’ing norn and it just trew me out with out any warning or anything similar to it…. And my question now is WHY no Email towards the listed account at the login screen about what and how

And to top it off Since the day of Gw2 was publiced that is was being developed the game was all about ’ Socially behaviour i’do believe when u make these kind of statements for several years u sort of break them your self whenever u dont even take the time to get a GM to the person that needs to get banned and actually say why the person getting a penalty and gets a chance to defend him self. And i believe its disrespectfull towards the player to NOT let anything hear from your self..

okay this was my little roam about it i hope i get a developer to awsner on this topic…. and atleast explain there actions against my account…

You got an email about it. It is most likely that a spam filter prevented it from being sent. Also, when it comes to inappropriate language, the bans are not automated. A game master looked at chat logs and determined that you needed suspension.

Also the most common way to get banned for inappropriate language is trash talking in PvP, generally people call each other the derogatory “f” word and end up getting banned quite quickly, assuming its not innapropiate because everyone else does it.

There has been no email or any sort i’ve checked all filters dubble even.

You won’t get a reply here. Maybe you should make sure they have your current e-mail address.

You could always try to contact support to find out why. They should still have the logs since this offense will be part of your “permanent record” as repeat offenses will lead to account termination.

You were reported and once the chat logs were looked over and verified you used “inappropriate language” they instituted the ban. Being online simply made the time it started obvious. It still requires you to be reported and somebody or multiple somebodies didn’t like what you were saying and reported you.

There is no defense. If you said something deemed “inappropriate” then bye. It’s like a red light or speed limit camera. You were or you weren’t, there is no reason to hear an explanation why you used “inappropriate language”, just that you used it.

And no the language filter won’t help you. Because it’s the saying that your punished, not that others had the option to filter and didn’t. It’s there for the T rating.

I am not trying to make this a dramatic forum post so it would appricated if not every person that knows how to type in the forums to respond on this i clearly stated to an developer i believe there is stil to be an explanation to be done. here on the date that it has occured or in what terms developer can send a message towards this forum account. so it wont be possible for everyone to read and make it prive and @ behellagh i’ve done everything that i could have done to get in contact make my email valible as possible. but it still seems no respond is coming towards it on whatever i do so i’ll ask again

if any developer could take a sweet minute to find it out and send me an private message or an email. towards the listed account represented as my ‘Forum’ account name

That’s why I suggest you contact support yourself. A Customer Service person is unlikely to see this here and respond to you publicly or privately.

You will however get other players responding because this is an open forum.

This should probably be under the account subforum.

I’ve never seen someone get banned and complain on the forums without it being for good cause. Just take it like a man, and move on.
