Account wrongfully banned
Gaile is saying in the Tickets for Review for hacked account holders to not post there unless no response is heard in 5 days.
The restoration team is separate from the Support team you initially had contact with. And the number of hacked accounts is up so I’d imagine they are back logged. It doesn’t help that Support is also back logged due to the feature patch.
The person who hacked your account was undoubtably using it for gold selling, causing it to be flagged as such and then banned. Since the people who ban accounts are not part of support, they do what their job is, which here is to ban gold sellers, and let support work out the results with the account holder. You just need to work your way through the system.
Please update the ticket that you used to discuss your hacking incident and explain what took place. The explanation give here — that the hacker misused your account — is nearly always correct. We will make this right, simply let the team know that you still need help and they’ll investigate!

Surely when an account is flagged as compromised ANET would/could/should perform such background checks prior to releasing the account back into the game… instead of allowing a player to finally get back into game already facing the prospect of having everything stripped from their possession and facing another lengthy wait for an account restoration only to then be hit with a ban for something that should of been considered right from the outset of a reviewing the ticket.
Things don’t necessarily happen in the precise order that allows us to do as you suggest. Thankfully, we are able to assist with most issues, and those whose accounts are compromised get our full attention.
