I have the same problem, after log in, turns white.
Well glad to know I’m not the only one at least. Hope they get a fix out fast.
Yeah same here…. except after a few tries i got a black fullscreen and the cursors from the character select…but thats all I got

Open Finder
On the menu bar, look under “Go”, hold the alt/option key, select the folder that appears (“Library”)
Open the “Application Support” folder
Move the Guild Wars 2 folder to the desktop (just in case)
Start up Guild Wars 2, it will create a new Guild Wars 2 folder again

This is actually a common problem. It has happened to me a few times. Every time I’ve just deleted the folder mentioned above and it fixed it. Another issue you might get is the patch client just hanging, meaning it just sits there on your screen, in this situation just let it sit there and browse the net, eventually it will pop back up. My thought is that it is doing something, there is just no indicator.
I just patched to the new Mac client and experienced no problems booting into the game.

Player support is much faster and better than the official support team.
epborden, your guess is correct, there’s one of the first screens that has a progress indicator in Windows that doesn’t show up on the Mac client. I’d share a screenshot if I had one available right now.
I already saw the client download up to 50MB of data at this screen, so yeah, waiting definitely helps solving the “issue”.

The folder in the Application Support folder is the folder you want to delete. You don’t need to do anything else after except actually launch the client from Applications.
I’m still unable to load the game. I get a black screen with the guild wars 2 mouse icon after I log in and hit play…

i have mac air and i can still play, try deleting all traces of the game and reinstall. also make sure your mac is up to date and i think you need x11 downloaded also because the client runs on wine.. or so i think.
