After Windows 10 and 64 game runs choppy
Hmm, Your card should have enough vram.
The problem is the memory bandwith of your vram. 25.6 GB/s is quite small in comparison to what a MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning card can push out at 384.4 GB/s. 128 Bit memory bus versus 384 Bit on the same card I have again. Texture rate is a bit low too on your card. Basically as I keep comparing the specs between your card and mine, I feel as if yours is very much lacking, and is bottlenecking your computer. Your CPU is great btw, keep that one.

If I understood that (I’m not a techie) then it means I should get a new RAM aswell a grapic card?

The vRAM is built into the graphics card. I suggest before you buy, get a few opinions from more than one source, and from where people know what matters.

Think you can post a screen shot like this to make sure your card is running its full PCI-E speed? Very commonly we see it running at lower than advertised speeds, even if you havent touched your GPU.
Even if it is running full PCIe 2.0/3.0 @16x, you’re both right about the GPU being the bottleneck. Pretty much everything about the card is a bit too weak for modern AAA games(like Fo4).
The good news: Your CPU is still very much a contender. Especially with a little overclocking! But we wont get into that..yet,if you dont want.
For now,if you’re thinking about upgrading GPU’s we’ll need a bit of info to help you make a smart choice.
- Budget- obviously
- Power Supply Information- If you dont remember what PSU you have in there, you can take the side off your case and there should be a sticker or label on the PSU (the little box your AC Power Cord plugs into). We’re looking for Wattage(e.g. 550watt,600,ect.) and/or and Brand name+ model number.

While I am greatful that you are very helpful with my current problem, I actually just order a new graphic card just now http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-gigabyte-radeon-r9-380-windforce-28nm-pcie-30-%28x16%29-5700mhz-gddr5-980mhz-gpu-1792-streams-dp-hdm so I apologize for being hasty and not getting a full feedback.
I trust my tech friend on this matter as it was his suggestion on building this pc including the CPU (no he didn’t recommend the card, I won it 2nd placed in this competition which lead me to building my pc).
Ok sure I admit the price is high but what do I know since I got my current card from 2nd placed.
I decided to order it asap cos I realise that Wintersday is coming (heh I just made a reference) and currently jumping is impossible/ lagging as hell at the moment.
Even then I know it’s high time for a new card cos on Game Debate (spec test sort of site) my card is no longer listed there and even then when it was listed, it fail the minium specs for current games. I mean I do want to played Fallout 4 or Overwatch etc.
Oh as for the PSU, I know I got a good one- http://www.corsair.com/en/tx-series-tx650-80-plus-bronze-certified-650-watt-high-performance-power-supply
Your new graphics card is sufficient. Happy gaming!

That card is a good one!
It’s actually what I recommend for an upgrade for people with systems similar to yours.
And your PSU will do fine with it.
Had issues with choppy “freeze type” game when u kinda frooze for 1sec every 10sec or so and I went back to Windows 8.1 and it stopped instantly. Iv heard about this issues and Win10 with nVidia but never seen until now in Gw2.

One commen problem people are having with upgrading to Windows 10 is the fail to check for updated motherboard chipset drivers. If those drivers are not up to date then you will have all sorts of problem, also while your at it look into bios updates to some motherboard manufacturers have released bios update for related Windows 10 issues.
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens
I would always recommend a complete clean install of gpu drivers from the ones Windows 10 tries to install too. Make sure you go through Windows updates and untick “update devices from 3rd parties” and install your drivers after deleting everything from the previous install. This is especially important when installing your new gpu. Google DDU or display driver uninstaller and use this to perform a clean install of the latest BETA Crimson driver from AMD.
I get the same thing since I went to Windows 10 running GTX770 Every so often I’ll get a hard freeze for a few seconds and then it comes back. Very annoying. I’ll check with intel for updates but most Mother boards won’t have windows 10 updates if they are 2+ years old.
