Q:

I just had this happen to me.

I was buying some new gear and when I went to collect what I had bought, I noticed that I had 67 pairs of leggings waiting for me. I then used Shadowplay to capture what on earth had just happened and I found that.

I’m pretty new to this game but I’m fairly certain that this isn’t supposed to happen. Why the hell did it automatically set the quantity by itself? Could someone explain why it did that?

A:

Simply put, it’s because you double clicked the item. After the initial click to select the item, another click went through, causing you to click the quantity slider in the brief moment before it appeared.

I actually hadn’t realized that I bought them until some minutes later! I preemptively hovered over the close button to buy the rest of my gear though.

It filled all orders for 11s or less. That’s why you got so many. You really have to pay attention to the prices and quantities when you buy or sell.

You can likely get most of your Gold back by re-selling the items, or salvaging them and selling the mats.

Good luck.

Yep. This definitely seems about right. Thanks!

Ahh, yes, if you pause the video at the right moment, you can see that it looks like you clicked the line with the item just as the buy window came up; your cursor sits in the exact spot to request 67 items. The buy order then bought the 67 cheapest selling offers.

A bit of lag, or a sensitive mouse button or an overactive finger seem to have been the issue.

Again, you can probably recoup most of your expenditure. Good luck.
