I’m trying to buy a copy of the game for a friend but when I go to the purchase page on the website all I see is this. I’m using Chrome with Privacy badger and ABP but i’m running into the same issue with Firefox. There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell im installing IE so is there a work around to see this webpage?

Not scrambled when using Safari (but it is a little odd, the price panels tend to detach and move to the top of the page when scrolling down).

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

No Problems with Firefox and ABP.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

What you’re seeing is the lack of CSS, which defines how the page is styled. Considering the image is also missing, it looks like you’re having trouble reaching *.digitalriver.com.

Clear your browser’s cache and flush your DNS. Optionally, try using Google’s DNS.

fyi, uninstalling IE can result in some programs not functioning properly. Like how GW2 uses CoherentUI, some programs use IE.

And installing IE opens the door to a multitude of malware that would more than negate any bonuses you may gain from having the program. I’ve cleared my cache and done just about everything else I can think of and it just won’t work with FF or Chrome.

The workaround i’m going to have to use is my old 32bit dell laptop with IE factory installed.

It’s a shame that Anet would design a page that can’t be viewed if the user elects to have a more rigid level of protection against spyware but I guess it’s just a sign of the times.

IE is part of Windows, so you don’t need to install it, it is already on your PC and
you can’t really uninstall it without tricks that may screw your whole system.

And talking about malware .. the biggest security hole since years there is FLASH.
I hope you also never have installed that if you are so concerned about security
problems.

And Chrome ? Google will be Skynet in some years

It has nothing to do with what browser you’re using.

Here’s the header image:

If you can view that, there’s a problem with your browser. Considering you’re complaining about security, I’m guessing you’ve set it to a paranoid level and simply disabled everything, including offsite linking. With offsite linking disabled, the above URL will fail to load on buy.guildwars2.com, hence no styling.
