and today in Bloodtide Coast, I found this: (in attachment)
do you see a familiar name in there? Thought so.

there are also others that i’ve reported along the way through the map, and they are..well take a look in the attachment.

you claimed to have disabled thousands of accounts, why are the same people (shown in the pic) still persist in botting? and have leveled up to be able to bot in different map!

does reporting actually works? you know how many people have left the game because of the bots?

for us legit and manual player, i think we deserve an answer.

Did you submit a ticket?

No?

Thats why no action has been taken.

this was from the anet staff in the previous thread:

“Our team is working on anti-bot tools and we hope that this sort of issue will soon be greatly reduced if not eliminated. In the meantime, please click on the bot and use /report to submit a report. Thank you.”

i did what he said to do all the time with bots. if like you said then the staff must be trolling us to do something that will never be looked upon

Here is the problem, with this vigilante technique. There is no way that a normal player can tell if somebody is a bot or not, many people including me are being served bans because some trigger happy player decided to report us as a bot.

Anet needs to do their own active monitoring and have proof of botting because in the end all you will en up with is a problem where greifers are going to be able to exploit the bot reporting tool.

I bought the game about 2 weeks ago, I saw bots my first day out. I reported them everyday for a couple days. To my knowledge they are still on my server, still camping the same spot. reporting is useless.
