Antec Eleven Hundred Tower
Hey,
From what I can see it looks like a nice case and that’s a reasonable price. My guess is the fan slot you can’t see is the one behind the motherboard to help keep the cpu cool. A unique feature but probably wouldn’t be necessary in your build. As far as fans go I’d recommend getting two fans for the front to pull air into the case and that should do nicely along with the preinstalled fans.
For the new gfx card I’d push your budget to $300 and grab a 660 ti if you want to stick with nvidia.
Hope that helps.
Just my opinion but I would keep the antec 300 case and put the extra 100 dollars towards your 250 dollar gpu budget for a more powerful graphics card. A gtx660ti will be the most bang for your buck at the price range you are looking at, at 299 dollars. So that way you’d actually save 50 bucks.

Yeh case looks nice Newegg price is 99Usd so your local price is reasonable I’d say. For the fans I’d say 1 or 2 for front panel 1 for window and one for the top. As I see there is already one exhaust fan on it but if its missing in your case you will want to get one for that spot aswell. If you are going to install them yourself just ask for an advice for air-flow ( which fans for out-take)
And for the GPU check out the new gtx 660 and 650ti’s and if you can increase your budged by 50 look for 660ti as Swordbreaker advised.

Thanks for the input from everyone. The reason why I wanted to upgrade the tower is because my gpu is pretty much touching the cables that are connecting my hdd and ssd. Also, my power supply cords have no space to place, so i had to just let them hang around my gpu, which I think may or may not be reducing the airflow to my gpu.
I’ll look up that gtx 660 for sure, it seems to be very popular and has been recommended to me before. Always good to get more recommendations
You don’t need to spend $100 to get a case with good airflow and cable management.
There are plenty of amazing cases in $70-$80 range.
which one would you recommend gosu?
Do you have a super long video card or something? I’ve built PC’s for a long time and believe it or not I go with mid towers instead of full towers and go with micro ATX boards and haven’t had a problem with video cards interfering. Just reroute the SATA cables to the drives. However I’m also using an Antec 300 right now, I don’t see why you need to go to the 1100.
For the fans, I only use 2 front and 1 rear, the side and top just mess up the airflow as I covered the top fan hole, you need a vacuum effect to get the air flowing. And of course take the front panel off once in a while and clean out the dust buildup from the screen.

Very jealous of that set up Swordbreaker :P. It seems I need to do a waaay better job on my cable management. I’m almost afraid to upload a pic of the inside of my tower, but I’m going to do it anyways just to show what it looks like.

I’ve had the tower since 07 when it used to house an amd phenom and a smaller sapphire graphics card. When i bought the 9800 gtx+ in 09, it was fairly large from what I imagined it would be. I’ve upgraded from that amd to intel only a month ago and had to cut out all the zip ties that was holding the wires down. Even before, it wasnt too clean, now it’s just a mess lol.
