I’m really scared because I love this game and this account and spent so much time and money on becoming a great player, the real and hard way. I have gotten my account terminated some how and I think its a bug or something on the other end because I’m 100% confident that its not me! Please this is my last hope for someone to really look into it and see this with a good eye. I never had any problem with this before so I don’t know what info to give so ill try my best. I put a ticket in and they gave a generic response. (I’m on my boyfriends account as to I cant get into my own.)

How long ago did you put in that ticket? They ask you to give them at least 7 days.

I put in a ticket yesterday, they replied this morning which was pretty fast but they give me these computer generated responses. And i cannot continue these with support because they have set in their minds that their detection program is right. Thats wrong! It cant be right because I don’t cheat. I told them it could be something on my end but if it was i wouldn’t have any knowledge of it. I read on this player who had the same problem and they told him the decision was final and that he can not repeal his case. He then posted here for someone to look at it rightfully and they found they messed up so this is my last shot of proving I’m innocent.

I would like to add, I have been playing on this computer for a long time and have barely anything installed on it. Why now would they detect something on it all of a sudden? My mouse, keyboard ect are all the same and nothings changed. If i play my boyfriends account will his be banned too? I’m scared to even play his.

I have, I have asked for everything and I don’t think they are taking the time to actually check it. This is a more serious matter than they are making it out to be. Getting a gm here to look into is all I know what to do because I’m running out of ideas.
And tickets get looked at in order received. If a lot of people have tickets in, it may be a bit before yours gets a response. You won’t get a response here.
If you haven’t gotten a response in 7 days, you can post your ticket in the stickied thread in this section.
Edit to add: They do likely have some automated responses to issues with common solutions to problems or steps you need to take that will speed things along based on your selections when you made the ticket. Like making sure your computer and email are secured in the cases of hacked accounts.

NOBODY FROM SUPPORT WILL REPLY TO YOU HERE OTHER THAN TELLING YOU WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE!!!
Now submit a ticket asking for an explanation and review, you will get an autoreply that they got it, and wait. If you don’t hear back in 7 days post the ticket number in the Tickets for Review sticky. Just the number, not a plea or explanation. Don’t make multiple tickets as it will slow down the process.
There is nothing you can do except wait for support. The first reply is automated, and the expected wait time for an actual response is within 7 days.

Your ban would have been based on something you did in-game, not what software you’re running.
If you bought gems lately using real money, your bank/etc might have accidentally refunded them, which causes your account to be banned for fraud. Other than that, if you’re sure you didn’t do anything remotely bad or suspicious, your account could have been compromised.

You know what, I recently bought gw1 and after that my bank account was put on a lock for what they suspected weird activity. When I looked it had transactions from weeks ago still pending, I just had to tell them everything was fine. That might be what they saw, if that’s the case it was a bank lock problem and nothing I could have done myself. I really hope that’s it because if so then there may be hope on getting it back. It says I was charged everything so I haven’t stole anything. Good catch!

If there was a bank lock, that could well be the problem. They do deactivate accounts for failure to pay and refunds. You’ll just need to wait till you get an actual person instead of an automatic reply. While you are waiting, it wouldn’t hurt to contact the bank and get the details from them as to what happened so you can send the information in to support.

Thats a great idea, Im going to make sure I have all the info from the bank. I really hope this is it because they did not tell me if this was it or not. Lets see if they will get back to me. Its worth a try. Thank you so much guys!

They are dead on keeping my account terminated! They said they decision is final but they just don’t understand that its the banks fault and not my own choice. This really makes me mad they dont see reason. Nothing should be permanently deleted without proper inspection. They dont ask for anything from me they just keep it to themselves and give me nothing to work with. I have no idea what to do. This is just wrong!!!

Did the CS Team state your account was terminated because of some bank action? Have you updated your ticket with more information? You can keep trying, my account was terminated and after 4 responses of ‘this is final’, it was re-instated.

If they haven’t closed the ticket, you will need to continue to work with them. Even if they say it’s final it’s possible to change the decision if you continue to talk to them.
If they have said that the decision is final and they have closed the ticket and said it’s over and they aren’t going to help you any more, you have one last chance to appeal. Make sure your ticket has all the information on it written as calmly and as clearly as possible. (If it were me, I’d write it out and let it sit for 24 hours to make sure I didn’t think of something else or a better way to say it). Go to the bank and get a statement from them about what happened. Make sure any information you have from the bank is attached. Update your ticket and send it off. Then post the ticket number in the thread Tickets for review, 7 days and older. (Note that this is supposed to be for tickets at least 7 days old and yours is only a couple days old so don’t post too soon)

I’m not sure how having a faulty purchase of GW1 would affect your GW2 account. The purchase process is completely separate and not necessarily connected to your at least 2 year old GW2 account. The only thing I can think of is if you linked your accounts while the purchase was in question.

The account in that ticket was terminated for 3rd party tool usage that used client memory reading.

I was emailed with a similar response and now I just have to find what it was and remove it from my computer completely! I have no idea what it could have been or if its any equipment I am using. I dont want another account terminated for this problem! Where do I start?

I looked online everywhere for what client memory reading is and nothing is showing for it. Anyone know what it could be? or maybe its a Microsoft update problem?

Only programs he has would be other games like masseffect and dragonage. The rest would be for his schooling. I looked through my programs and nothing shows up that I wouldn’t know what it is.

He does, I play mine alot more. But now i fear if he plays his account, his account will be terminated for this ’’thing’’ causing trouble. I need to find out what it is. I asked him and he said he hasnt downloaded anything. It would be a big help if they told me WHEN this problem first happened so i can narrow down what it could be. I will not give up on this.
And they won’t tell you what it was or when it was detected. This is so that those programs don’t develop better ways to bypass detection systems.

Then I just need to know in general what a third party client memory reader is. I understand why they wont tell me what its called or anything. I just want to prevent this even though its not my fault.

Basically it’s a botting program or any program that gets information from the Guild Wars 2 client and changes the way you play or changes the UI. It’s not something that gets on the game by accident. It has to be put in by someone.

If that’s the case then this is really scary and my computer is most likely comprised. What would be a sound way to fix this? wipe my whole system? Even so, in game i have gained nothing from this problem which gives me an advantage in anyway.
