Sooo I had a GTX 580 that was faulty during beta leading up to just now, and I got around 20-45 fps all the time. I thought that it was just the complications of the card as it wasn’t really running benchmarks at what it should anyway. I recently picked up two 660s. I just reinstalled GW2 today, and after running games like Far Cry at 50-60 constant everything maxed out, and appropriate benchmarks with the cards, it’s still going 30-60. My CPU is an i7 960 @ 3.7, and none of my hardware (GPU or CPU) ever get over 50% load. Anyone know what’s up?

I have a single 660ti and I get 35-40 in Lion’s Arch and 60 on average everywhere else. I’ve heard some mixed things – try disabling SLI and see what happens. I’ve heard the game doesn’t cooperate well with SLI. Also try turning Reflections down to Sky and Shadows, and also – this is the bizarre one – try turning Supersampling on. For some reason that gets me another 15-20 FPS, as counter-intuitive as that is.

GW2 doesnt like SLI, some ppl have got it to work but havnt got much extra performance out of it compared to a single gpu ..so i would sugest not having/using SLI.

the main issue u have though is your CPU. GW2 will only run well with a 2nd/3rd gen Intel i5K or better with an OC to around 4.5ghz or higher.

that will make sure u never drop below 30 fps (LA & WvW battles) and will give u an ‘average’ of around 45 fps in LA, and 60+ in PvE.

Not great figures compared to games like BF3 and what not ..but this is GW2 :P

EDIT; CPU ‘load’ irrelivant ..GW2 will never use 100% cpu and will bottleneck b4 100% utilization ..its bottleneck occures on the single thread level ..which isnt shown accuratly by the windows performance monitor.

GPU ‘load’ will not be 100% becouse its being held back by the CPU.

Yeah I read that right after I posted this =p my bad. But not quite sure what you’re saying, I can get up to around a 4.2 OC which should be stable. Not quite sure if I want to though, I’m not too frequent of a GW2 player but this raises suspicions about low fps in WoW too.
